The ICSL Cybersecurity Event brings two cybersecurity conferences to Ballarat in late February - early March 2026. The Malware and Reverse Engineering (MRE) conference runs from 26/02 - 27/02 (Thu - Fri), and BSides Ballarat runs from 28/02 - 01/03 (Sat - Sun) in the first class Emerging Technologies Hub (ETH) in Central Ballarat which is early walking distance from the Ballarat Railway Station.

BSides Ballarat focuses on presenting information on getting started in cybersecurity and providing talks at the beginner and intermediate levels. Many attendees have told us that they really enjoyed experiencing a BSides conference in Ballarat.
The MRE conference is the ICSL's long-running deep cybersecurity conference with a focus on Malware, Reverse Engineering, Binary Analysis, Automated Cyber Operations, Incident Response, Critical Infrastructure, and Threat Intelligence.
