Important Information
Ticket purchase can be completed by any organisation/third party wishing to sponsor enrolment fees for a learner undertaking study of a stackable short course at Deakin University. Completion of registration indicates acceptance of the conditions below.
The sponsor and learners should be aware registration will require sponsored students’ details including names, nominated email, stackable short course and fees for the sponsor to complete payment.
Payment
The sponsor acknowledges they are liable for all specified fees selected. The sponsor agrees to make payment of the fees for tickets selected, a receipt will be generated upon successful payment. However if the sponsor requires payment via invoice, they can follow additional prompts outlined at payment. Payment via an invoice may delay registration of learners until payment is made. The invoice will detail the available payment methods and payment options.
Overdue Invoices
All student fees must be paid by the invoice due date. Unfortunately, the University is not able to offer an extension to this date.
If fees remain unpaid, without exception the following will occur:
- the orders will be cancelled with immediate effect
- the student/s listed on the agreement will immediately become liable for the unpaid fees and their enrolment will be discontinued due to the non-payment of fees.
- the sponsor and/or student will need to re-register to finalise payment.
- Note: If this occurs, it may not be possible to reinstate a student’s enrolment into the study period from which they are discontinued.
Refunds
Except in the case of cancellation of a Masterclass microcredential by Deakin neither the sponsor of group bookings or any individual member of a group is eligible for a refund. The group must be confirmed at the time of registration and learners will have 90 days from receipt of payment by Deakin to enrol in the microcredential by submitting their personal details to Deakin. If an individual withdraws from the group, after registration by the sponsor, another person can be substituted for that person but only if the withdrawing group member has not enrolled in the microcredential.
The sponsor should submit any requests for changes to the membership in a group to stackablelearning@deakin.edu.au.
