HSC Music Day 2026

The University of Newcastle's Conservatorium of Music is excited to present HSC Music Day again in 2026.

We invite your Year 11 and 12 music students to attend HSC Music Day on Friday 20th March 2026 in the Harold Lobb Concert Hall, at the Conservatorium of Music from 9:00am until 2:30 pm.

This year we will focus on maximising HSC Music outcomes through specific strategies within each of the HSC Music Components. There will be performances from various schools and valuable presentations by experienced HSC Music Teachers. You can view the full event program here

Students will be provided with a comprehensive Music Resource Booklet. All students are expected to bring writing materials and wear full school uniform to this event. To comply with venue safety requirements, large school backpacks must not be brought into the foyer or Concert Hall. Students may bring a small bag for personal belongings and writing materials.

Snacks will be available for purchase from the foyer canteen, however, students are encouraged to bring a packed lunch or organise individual arrangements for a ‘Picnic in the Park’ (weather permitting).

The cost of the day is $45.00 per student (including GST). Teachers may attend free of charge.

Eligibility and Attendance

• HSC Music Day is open to high school students In Years 11 and 12
• Teachers accompanying students may attend free of charge
• Student attendance is limited to a maximum of 30 students from each school

Fees and Payment

• Student registration fee is $45.00 per student plus booking fee (BF).

Credit card payments only will be accepted at the time of booking

• All fees must be paid in full at the time of booking to secure a place

Refunds and Cancellations

• No refunds will be provided for cancellations, non-attendance, or change of circumstances

Registration cut-off

• All bookings must be completed by Friday 13 March 2026
• Late registrations will not be accepted
