In this Module, students study one prescribed text and develop detailed analytical and critical knowledge of TS Eliot’s poetry. Students will study the text’s construction, content and language developing their own rich interpretation as well as judgments on the text’s composition and reception. This lecture will specifically discuss TS Eliot’s set poems for study and offer significant ideas and scaffolds for the consideration of student essay responses.


Dianne Berios

Dianne Berios B.Ed. (Syd Uni) is an English Teacher, Private Tutor and Presenter. She has held permanent and temporary positions at a range of comprehensive high schools and private schools in NSW. She has marked the HSC in a range of questions for 10 years and is now an external Trial Exam Marker for some of Sydney’s most prestigious Catholic and Private Schools. Dianne runs Wordstudio Edit as a private tutor and specialises in Stage 6 studies. Students may have seen her speak on the English Modules/Electives at the HSC & Careers Expo.


MARRICKVILLE PAVILION AND LIBRARY is accessible by lift from both the street and ground levels. The venue is accessible for people using wheelchairs and other mobility aids. There is a hearing loop available.
