HQ Discovery Session: Workplace trauma, the current state of play

Workplace trauma: the current state of play and options to improve the safety and wellbeing of the housing and homelessness workforce.

Homelessness Queensland is privileged to host a webinar with the authors of a major research study published February 2026 by AHURI, “Workplace trauma on the social housing and homelessness frontline”.

Dr Deb Batterham and her colleague Chris Hartley will present the key findings of this peer reviewed research which was conducted with over 500 frontline workers across Australia. The session will also include a facilitated discussion and opportunity for participants to share their views on the how best to action the report’s recommendations or ‘Agenda for Change’ in the Queensland context.

This session is suited for frontline workers, executives and organisational wellbeing staff alike. It is a chance to discover and understand new research findings and how they may be contextualised for a Queensland response.
