Event Details

Have you ever just met someone

and clicked with them straight

away?

People naturally like people that are like themselves. The reality is that we have to negotiate, manage, work and live with people that will prefer to energise, take in information, arrive at decisions and live in the world differently to us. The old adage suggests that we should treat people the way that we would want to be treated. That’s great if we meet people that are like us! So, what do we do with the other 80% of people that are not like us?

There are so many things that can make us different and have the potential to create conflict, disrespect, discomfort and division.

If you are interested in:

  • building tolerance through understanding yourself and others in your team and family,
  • increasing communication effectiveness at work and at home, or
  • creating a building block for high performance teams, selling and leadership

then this is the workshop you must attend!

Abraham Lincoln was quoted as saying
“I really don’t like that man… I must get to know him better!”

This interactive workshop will enhance your ability to relate to ALL members of your team (and family!) and improve your understanding of what each team and family member can bring to the group in terms of different styles of thinking.

Embracing a variety of viewpoints and then learning how to more effectively understand and respect this diversity can, apart from reducing stress, lead to significant improvements in cooperation, decision making, employee retention, innovation, trust, productivity and most importantly individual and team wellbeing.

Bring your partner, bring your friends, bring your colleagues and your teams to this highly entertaining and interactive seminar that will leave you with proven practical strategies for improving relationships at work and at home.

“Diverse and unexpected pools of talent are emerging around the world. To succeed in today’s global economy, we must acknowledge them, understand them, and make them part of our talent strategies.”

Bob Moritz, US Chairman of PwC

In this fun, educational and interactive workshop we will work through the following:

  • How work diversity can be a competitive advantage by proving more viewpoints and better ideas
  • Learn what makes people so diverse and why they do the things that they do
  • How diversity can build collaboration and increase your level of influence
  • The difference between Preferences and Behaviours and how to manage both
  • How to recognise and harness the strengths, skills and knowledge of our team, colleagues, stakeholders and also our family members
  • Develop an understanding of the four distinct areas of the brain as a metaphor for highlighting diversity
  • Learn how to practically apply this information in your own development and of those around you
  • Identify how to utilise the potential and get the most out of the people by recognising their preferred ways of operating
  • How to provide for networking, mentoring and socialising within your diverse workgroup to increase engagement, trust, and comfort and fully benefit from differing viewpoints
  • Reduce stress & conflict and learn how to improve relationships and build better teams
