Have you been thinking about volunteering but not quite sure how to go about it or what to expect? This face to face information session will step you through everything you need to know so that you are prepared and clear about what you want to gain from this experience.
Not all volunteering is a regular weekly commitment - it can be flexible, a one-off activity, online, short term project or ongoing. Finding a role that fits in with your life and adds value is central to having a positive experience, and may also assist in career development.
What you will learn from this session:
- Understand what volunteering is and the different kinds of volunteering
- Explore the benefits of volunteering and understand what’s important to you
- Learn about volunteer and organisational ‘rights and responsibilities’
- Be clear about what to expect and what questions to ask
- Know how to find a role that makes a positive impact on your life
Please note: this workshop is not recorded due to its interactive style of delivery.
