Sexual Harassment and Domestic & Family Violence are tough topics to talk about and manage as business owners & managers. That’s why it’s critical we understand our legal responsibilities and know how to manage a situation should it arise. It’s also vital we know how to support those involved.

Kate is a specialist employment and industrial relations lawyer working in ABLA’s Newcastle office with over a decade of experience in assisting clients with complex IR, employment and WHS issues, including in relation to Respect@Work and psychosocial hazards more generally.


Kath Harris

Kath’s 20+ years of experience in HR has shaped her ability to solve problems and overcome complex people challenges with out-of-the-box solutions and pioneering strategies. Lynese Robinson

Manager | Violence Abuse Neglect (VAN) and Women’s services

Hunter New England Local Health District, NSW Government Health

Lynese has worked as a Social Worker for 25 years and for the past 10 years has worked with children and adults who have been victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Lynese has experience as a counsellor, manager, presenter and trainer and is passionate about how we can all support victims of domestic and sexual violence through the language we use and the conversations we have.
