How To Cook: 5 Ways With Eggs
If you want to learn some simple cooking methods which will help you eat well on the cheap, these sessions are for you!
ANU students only. Tickets are free but numbers are limited. As this event is very popular, if you have booked a ticket and can't attend please refund your ticket to allow others to attend.
Learning how to cook cheap, tasty, healthy, and interesting food can be intimidating. BUT with a few skills, a bit of knowledge, and access to some flavour secrets, you can learn how to easily prepare food that you will enjoy eating and that won't break your budget!
In this first session, we are focusing on eggs. Eggs are an amazing source of nutrition, packed with protein and vitamins D, B2, E, B5, B 12, A, folate and biotin and are a good source of healthy fat. They are yummy and in Canberra it is very easy to access fresh and ethically farmed eggs from local farms.
And there's so many ways to make and eat eggs - from scrambing (there is a trick to creamy scrambled eggs!), omlette, fried, boiled, poached, or even baked. Add some herbs or cheese or vegetables and you can make a complete meal that will taste great!
Come along to learn more and have a go! We'll share a light egg-based snack that we have made at the end of the session.
Please do not attend if you are sick. Please wear closed shoes.
