Description

At the heart of a purpose-driven business is effective collaboration. Everyone talks about the notion of collaboration between small business owners, but what does it actually mean and how do you do it? Perhaps you've had your fingers burned in the past attempting to collaborate with others? Perhaps you've collaborated on a project and quickly realised you're the 'giver', while other members are 'takers'? When working on a collaborative project what are the types of structures you can set up to ensure that all parties receive value to achieve a common purpose? What are the ground rules required to establish successful collaborations?

Join the Slow School team at this collaborative learning workshop to discuss your specific questions and issues around collaboration and leave with some homework and a plan to ensure your future collaborations are effective and equitable. You will receive pre-work and post workshop homework to ensure that you get the most out of your learning experience. You are also invited to form groups post workshop to keep working on the subject to ensure that the knowledge gained is integrated effectively into your business.

The Slow School of Business (Slow School) is an unconventional collaborative learning school for business people that share the goal of building a purpose-driven and prosperous business that makes the world a better place. If you believe what we believe, then Slow School is for you.

We're a people-powered learning community dedicated to building purpose-driven and prosperous businesses that make the world a better place.  Why "Slow" you ask? In a world where fast-change, quick-profit and short-term thinking dominate, the slow movement advocates a cultural shift towards slowing down. It’s an ideology which espouses that fast is not better, and that a conscious and mindful approach often yields faster and better results.  Slow School is all about collaborative and experiential learning. We believe that we are all teachers and we are all students, and that we have much to learn from each other. When we come together to learn, connect, collaborate and play - anything is possible!
