Please note: this event is run by the Small Business Development Corporation for small business owners in Western Australia only.Having a digital presence is essential for businesses of any size, but not every small business owner has the time or skills to create their own website. It can often be more time and cost efficient to use a professional developer to create your website, however the prospect of hiring one can be daunting.This session will help you decide whether to outsource or build your own website, and to determine which features would be best suit your business needs. You'll also discover how to choose the right developer for you, costing issues and understanding the technical jargon to help you effectively communicate with your web developer. The topics covered include:

How to determine whether to outsource or build your own website;

Selecting a professional;

Web designer vs. web developer;

Pricing and costing expectations;

Helpful tips to avoid disputes;

Communication and tools;

Researching the opportunities to build your own .

This session is for who have an established business, little to no experience developing websites and little to no experience working with web developers.The facilitator for this topic, Belmont Business Enterprise Centre, is a not-for-profit community based organisation established in 1994 to assist in the growth and development of small business. Their presenter of this topic is a highly sought after productivity consultant and business coach who conducts training programs for a range of private and government organisations.This session is presented by the SBDC, the only agency in the Western Australian Government dedicated to helping small business. In fact, we've been providing practical support to small business owners for more than 30 years.
Important booking information
You are limited to two tickets per booking (you can of course make more than one booking).We will be emailing you with important information on how to find workshop locations and what you need to bring, if it is a face-to-face event.
