CAANZ

Despite the AI/digital hype, the future of work is human, according to recent Deloitte research. There will, however, be significant challenges for the ill prepared, with the CSIRO naming rising workplace mental ill-health as a mega risk for the next 20 years.Astute leaders will actively promote a culture of self-care and team resilience. Small consistent actions lead to resilience and growth. In this presentation, Graeme Cowan, a leading leadership resilience speaker, author and presenter, will focus on 3 essential priorities for every future-ready leader.
About Graeme Cowan
Graeme Cowan helps leaders and teams to be more caring, resilient, and growth-oriented. In his earlier career, he worked in senior leadership positions with Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, and AT Kearney. In 2000, he went through a 5-year episode of depression that his psychiatrist described as the worst he had ever treated. He emerged from this crisis with a different view about how we can increase our resilience, mood, and performance. He is described by the Australian Financial Review as a “workplace resilience expert”. He is the author of 4 books, including the internationally acclaimed BACK FROM THE BRINK, which has a testimonial from the former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, and has just become a best seller in China.Graeme also helped to start the charity ‘R U OK?’ – www.ruok.org.au - in 2009, and is an active Board Director.
Hosted by Stephen Moir
Prior to establishing Moir Group, Stephen spent 17 years with a leading international recruitment firm. He progressed through the business and was Managing Director for the operations in Australia. He left to establish Moir Group in early 2007.Stephen firmly believes that work is a big part of people’s lives and that having a satisfying job is a big part of having a fulfilling life. Stephen has had great success in delivering on this belief. He stands by Moir Group’s values of Care, Partnership, Rigour, Persistence and Passion, and they underpin everything he does.He always focuses on cultural fit, service and sourcing the right people for his clients, realising that, when Moir Group do their job really well, they have a significant impact on organisations and people’s lives. The result is that Moir’s candidates build successful careers with great retention for the organisations they are placed with.
FAQs
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?CAANZ office is located at Level 18, 300 Bourke Street, Melbourne in the heart of the city, close to many public transport options, including buses and tram stops. How can I contact the organiser with any questions? For more information contact Chloe Thomas, Moir GroupPhone: 02 9262 4836E: chloethomas@moirgroup.com.auDo you cater for special dietary requirements?A light lunch is provided.
