Crochet classes, artist talks and kids yarn classes by Annie Rawle of Osmosis Designs

Each week you will learn &amp; practice the basic stitches along with variations and information on which stitch to use for what purpose. I encourage students to make time to practice at home between classes to help quickly embed what they have learnt into memory. At the start of weeks 2-4, I will include a chance to ask questions and solve any problems you might encounter from the previous week's class.Over the weeks you’ll produce small sample squares of each stitch learnt plus learn techniques to make a crochet storage pouch which we will complete by the end of week 4. Course cost includes all materials includes all yarns used in the classes, class notes, a pattern for a crochet storage pouch and a hook to take home.I will provide a variety of yarns suitable for a beginner in various colours. NB -possible extra charge if you choose a more expensive brand from my stash. I always make sure that the choice of yarns are all easy for learning with, as not all yarns behave themselves! I’ll also provide scissors and other tools to be used on the day.Light refreshments provided. My class size is 4-6 students to allow enough time for one-on-one help for everybody.Please note that this course is for adults. Our venue is the historic Settlers Cottage, which is owned by the National Trust and currently used as Art Studios (mine is the little outbuilding on the right of the photo). The setting is idyllic, nestled close to Herdsman Lake, surrounded by trees and wildlife. The workshops will be held either in the cottage itself or on the shady veranda, depending on the weather.
