Emeritus Professor Gabriël A. Moens is one of Australia's greatest legal minds and his legacy is nothing short of extraordinary.

Over his long and distinguished career Professor Moens has acquired a solid reputation as a leading academic expert in constitutional law, legal philosophy, and business law, in particular in its international and comparative dimensions. He has also been deeply appreciated by his students and has received countless Excellence in Teaching and Research awards throughout his career. Professor Moens is also a highly accomplished senior academic administrator who deeply enhanced the image and reputation of institutions that had the great privilege to make use of this competent leadership. Indeed his achievements are far too great and numerous to list here.

To honour his tremendous achievements, legal academics and practitioners the world over have come together to write essays in honour of his work.

Chairing the event for the evening is Lorraine Finlay, law lecturer and director of mooting at Murdoch University and adjunct senior lecturer in law at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Sydney Campus.
