Who This Workshop Is For

This workshop is ideal for:

• New or hobbyist beekeepers
• People who have tried extracting before but didn’t get much honey
• Anyone curious about beekeeping who wants to see how extraction actually works
• Helpers or family members assisting beekeepers (without handling bees)

No bee handling or contact with live bees occurs during this workshop.

Why People Attend

Most beginner beekeepers run into the same problems:

• Not getting much honey out of their frames
• Damaging the honey through poor technique
• Ending up with wax, debris or cloudy honey

If you’re open to being pleasantly surprised by how much more honey you can extract — with the right approach, this workshop is for you.

What You’ll Learn

1. How to Uncap Honey Frames Properly

You’ll learn and try multiple uncapping methods, including:

You’ll get hands-on experience with each method.

Operate a honey extractor and learn how to use it efficiently to maximise yield.
We’ll also cover alternative options for small-scale beekeepers who don’t own a spinner.

3. How to Filter and Clean Your Honey

Learn how to properly filter honey to remove wax particles, improve clarity, and produce a cleaner, more attractive final product.
