Homework Club Program Guidelines

Student Code of Conduct

It is important for everyone to respect each other – students and tutors. The Homework Club program aims to help students with their homework and provide a quiet space for all students to work. To help everyone achieve this, it is important that we all think about the following rights and responsibilities. If you don't meet these responsibilities, we may ask your parents to take you out of Homework Club.

Student rights:

To learn in a safe environment.

To be treated with respect.

To expect appropriate support from a tutor.

To have a quiet and safe place to study.

Student responsibilities:

Treat others with respect.

Be friendly and welcoming to others.

Recognise that tutors do their best to support everyone but there may be times when you will need to wait patiently.

Take care of the program resources and equipment.

Concentrate on your work.

Work quietly and try not to distract others.

Sign in and out each week (parents of primary school students will be required to sign them in and out!)

Parent/carer responsibilities:

Treat tutors with respect.

Supervise your children who are too young for Homework Club. Tutors need to focus on children from grade 4 to year 12, and cannot supervise your younger children.

If your child is under the age of 12 years we require that you stay in the building, following our Unattended Children policy.

Sign your primary school aged children in and out each week.

Secondary school students can sign themselves in and out.

Please note, we cannot force your child to participate in Homework Club if they don't want to be there. If a student is disrupting other participants, staff may ask parents/carers to collect them.
