About the Program
The Home Care Workforce Support program is an Australian Government initiative helping older people live at home for longer by training up new home care workers and connecting them with employers.
The Home Care Careers team is hosting information sessions for people looking to embark on a career in the home care industry. Our dedicated team of specialists will give you an informative overview of industry, including:
- Specific roles for the home care industry - personal care worker, allied health assistant, and enrolled nurse
- A look the day-in-a-life of these roles and staff currently working in this environment and
- A step-by-step guide on how you can apply for a fully funded, certification/traineeship, whilst working in the industry.
Sessions for candidates living in Tasmania
- 30th March 2023, 11am to 12:00pm.
- 30th March 2023, 6pm to 7:00pm.
- 18th May 2023, 11 am to 12:00 pm.
- 18th May 2023, 6 pm to 7:00 pm.
The program is open to candidates in either Victoria or Tasmania who are interested in pursuing a career in the home care industry.
There is a huge demand for enthusiastic workers who are ready to show up with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and create an extraordinary career.
