Holiday Program: Street Bugs (PM session)

Join in this drawing workshop to create paste-up art works for the Thoroughfare street art festival!

Come along to this fun drawing workshop inspired by our BUGS exhibition.

We will learn about bug body parts and then work together to create imaginative creatures using the surrealist and collaborative drawing game, Exquisite Corpse.

Once your new bug design is complete, bring it to life with watercolours.

The artworks created in this workshop will be transformed into paste-ups and featured as part of a larger mural in the Launceston Street Art Festival in 2026.

Please note: This workshop is recommended for children aged 5-12 years, accompanied by their parents.

PLEASE NOTE:

• Bookings are required for all attendees. Children must be accompanied by a fee-paying adult.
• This activity will be held at the Museum at Inveresk, 2 Invermay Road, Inveresk, Launceston.
• All tickets are $6pp.
• Recommended age 5-12 years old.
• Please feel free to bring a water bottle to the session.
• This is a supervised activity and not a drop-off activity. Parents/guardians are expected to remain present for the duration of the event — and are encouraged to help and join in the fun!
