Rediscover the joy of gardening and learn No Dig. You will spend less time weeding, watering, and forking in additions, and best of all it is an accessible approach easily understood and implemented. Experienced gardeners will learn time saving methods to increase the growth and health of their plants, and beginners will learn how to start and maintain a no-dig garden. We will discuss how to design a garden that will fulfil your gardening purpose, and Bonnie will show you how she approached the design process for her own large walled garden. Bonnie will cover what to consider with bed size, bed edges, and paths before explaining how to start new garden beds - whether on existing garden beds, lawn, or even compacted building sites. She will help you decide what to grow in your garden and whether you need to follow plant rotations. We will transplant seedlings, direct sow some veg, harvest mature crops the no-dig way, learn how to set up a watering system, and learn basic pest and disease management. You will take home Bonnie's growing chart which details how to grow a wide range of vegetables, and an example of her bed rotation system.
