The Canning Agricultural, Horticultural & Recreational Society (CAHRS) is a dedicated not-for-profit organisation and community cornerstone, proudly bringing people together in the Canning area since 1909.We are the proud organisers behind the iconic, annual Canning Show, a beloved event celebrating tradition, local agriculture, and community talent. We manage the Cannington Exhibition Centre & Showgrounds.With strong historical roots and a future-focused spirit, CAHRS delivers events and experiences year-round. The grounds are a vital community asset that provides inspiring spaces for hundreds of events, workshops, and cultural experiences annually. Whether you have no idea what a magic circle is, let alone how to create one, or you’re looking for new challenges, inspiration or tips to improve, HEY HEY, LET'S CROCHET! short courses are designed to bring out the best stitching in all.The Beginners course provides essential theory and practical work for those with only a little or absolutely no experience. Learn basic stitches, terminologies, reading patterns, basic charts, make various crochet shapes, learn how to change colours, and join everything together. Use a sampler designed specifically for you to practice a variety of stitches and techniques.
