Join the Community Bushcare program and make a difference on Redlands Coast! Enjoy our family-friendly planting events in beautiful parks across the City. It’s a fun way to connect with nature, meet others, and help our environment thrive.

Come get your hands dirty! Make a difference by planting native shrubs and ground-covers at a Community Planting with the Helen Street Bushcare Group. At this beautiful Thorneside location bordering Tingalpa Creek, you may see the secretive buff-banded rail who fossicks around in dense vegetation on the edge of wetlands and waterways feeding on molluscs, crustaceans, insects, seeds and carrion. Come along and help build habitat for these elusive birds.You'll have the opportunity to work alongside an experienced Community Bushcare officer and learn about the important role that Bushcare groups play in preserving and protecting our natural environment. Whether you're an experienced bush re-generator or a complete novice, come join us to connect with nature and the local community whilst making a positive contribution to the environment.
