Athlete Stroke Development Clinic + Workshop

Welcome to the Swimming WA Stroke Clinic happening at Gratwick Aquatic Centre in Collaboration with Hedland Amateur Swimming Club on February 14th, 2026.

Dive into a day of technique refinement and skill enhancement with our coach Natasha Angelidis. Whether you're a beginner or looking to fine-tune your strokes, this clinic is perfect for all levels. We highly encourage local coaches/teachers to attend, walk alongside Natasha on pooldeck and assist in the clinic and ask any questions from their own coaching experience.

We will have two sessions available:

  • Clinic 1: 1pm-2.15pm (ages 8-12yrs)
  • Clinic 2: 2.30pm-3.45pm (ages 13+)

Clinic Focus: Dives, starts & turns

Head Coach: Natasha Angelidis (Southside Penrhos Wesley Swimming Club)

Pre-Clinic Workshop (Swimmers & Parents)

12:30pm – 1:00pm

Prior to the pool sessions, swimmers and parents are strongly encouraged to attend a pre-clinic workshop delivered by Claire from Physiological Training.

Claire is the founding Physiotherapist at Physiological Training and lead Pilates Instructor at Pilates On Point. She is well known for her work with athletes and families, focusing on education and building long-term, pain-free movement habits rather than reliance on ongoing treatment.

The workshop will include a short, interactive warm-up for swimmers, followed by practical discussion around:

  • Effective warm-ups and preparing to swim well
  • Stretching and mobility: when and how to use them
  • Hydration and fuelling strategies, particularly in hot and humid conditions
  • Between-race strategies to stay warm, loose, and calm
  • Weekly habits that support competition-day performance

The workshop is included in the clinic cost. Please register for the free workshop ticket via the 'Parent/Teacher Workshop' ticket option on Eventbrite

Important: Please purchase ticket under attendees name

Please note:

  • Refunds will only be provided for injury/illness with a valid medical certificate supplied.

Any questions can be directed to clubs@wa.swimming.org.au
