Heart Beat Club
Join us at the Heartbeat Club Infant & Child First Aid Course and gain the skills, confidence and calm you hope you’ll never need.
Heartbeat Club Infant & Child First Aid Course
When it comes to children, emergencies don’t come with warnings. A choking episode at dinner. A fall at the playground. That ‘childproof’ children’s medicine that you can’t open but somehow your toddler can and how full was that bottle before they poured half down their shirt and how much went in their mouth? In those first few moments, what you do matters.
The Heartbeat Club Infant & Child First Aid Course is designed to give parents, grandparents, carers, educators and anyone who loves a little person the skills and confidence to respond quickly and effectively in a medical emergency.
This practical, hands-on course focuses specifically on babies and children — because they are not just “small adults.” You’ll learn how to recognise when something is serious, what action to take, and how to stay calm under pressure.
What you’ll learn:
- Infant and child CPR (including hands-on practice)
- How to respond to choking in babies and children
- Managing breathing emergencies
- Burns, head injuries, fevers, shocks and common childhood incidents
- When to call an ambulance — and what to do while you wait
- Preventive measures and understand how to create a safer environment to reduce the risk of serious injuries Our experienced trainers create a supportive, welcoming environment where questions are encouraged and practice builds confidence.
No prior experience is needed — just a willingness to learn.
By the end of the session, you won’t just have information. You’ll have practical skills, clarity about what to do, and the reassurance that if something happens you will have the knowledge of what to do in the moment.
Every parent hopes they’ll never need first aid skills. But if you do, you’ll be incredibly grateful you came.
Spots are limited to ensure plenty of hands-on practice.
Book now and give yourself the confidence to act when it matters most.
Requests from attendees:
· Bring along any questions about first aid or child safety scenarios
· Comfortable clothing for hands-on practice
· Pen and notebook if you want to take notes
