Event description

Come and join us to test your mental fortitude and lateral thinking!

We have booked with Escape Hunt Brisbane to bring you the 'ultimate live escape game'.

Playing the role of a famous detective, you will be 'locked' in a room with your team. You will have 60 minutes to gather the clues, find keys, crack codes and solve puzzles to escape before the time runs out!

Depending on numbers, if there are two teams, you will compete head to head against the other team and see who comes out first!

After the escapade, chill out, relax and chat about what you thought about the room!

Register now as only 10 places available!

Registration close 31 May

Snacks and drinks will be provided. All you need to bring is your curiosity and excitement!

It will be a fantastic day out with our mentors and to possibly meet some new deaf/hard of hearing teenagers!

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

If you're in high school and deaf/hearing impaired or hard of hearing, then this is for you!

Can I use my current NDIS funding to cover Hear For You?

Yes this is possible. After registering for the NDIS ticket, please contact David Brady on david.brady@hearforyou.com.au to inform him whether you are:

1. NDIA Agency managed i.e. they pay all invoices on your behalf

2. Self-funded i.e. the NDIA have given you a lump sum to use as per your agreed NDIS plan

You will need to give us your NDIS number and the number of hours or funding amount that you have secured with your NDIA planner.

Escape Hunt FAQs (sourced from https://brisbane.escapehunt.com/#faqs)

The Escape Hunt Experience is a unique adventure based of the classic 'escape the room' online games now popular in many countries around the world. Originally these were online point and click and click flash computer games such as Myst and Crimson Room

Players are locked in a simple room with objects and little decoration and feel like being inside a computer game while searching for clues and solving puzzles trying to escape.

We offer a true "experience" where you play the part of a famous London detective with your team members trying to solve a murder mystery. As a team you play against the clock in one of our rooms to find the suspect's identity and thereby find your escape.

Essentially you get locked in for 60 minutes, find clues and solve the puzzles then escape and celebrate your victory!

It is designed for adults but we do have plenty of young detectives at Escape Hunt. For children 15 years and under, we require at least one participant in a room 15 years of age or older to supervise and provide assistance in the puzzles (Hear For You: we will have 2 mentors in each group)

Address: 77 Russell St, West End 4101. If you find Australia Post, we're directly underneath with entry via the underground carpark.

Parking: There is plenty of metered on-street parking just out the front and limited parking upstairs in the small shopping complex in which we are located.

Getting there by train: We're a short 10 minute walk from the South Brisbane train station.

Getting there by bus: Catch the 199 and get off at the Archive Bar on Boundary St or catch the 196 and get off at the corner of Boundary and Browning Street. Both will deliver you just around the corner.

Almost everyone will have a ball at Escape Hunt! We've had all types, ages and groups of people come play.

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?

Email Bec at rebecca.driscoll@hearforyou.com.au

What's the refund policy?

If we don't have enough numbers (minimum 4 teenagers) for the event booking to go ahead by 1 June 2018, you will receive a complete refund of the ticket price.
