Healthy Body, Healthy Mind. 5 week program
Please note: Only current enrolled students at the ANU are eligible to register and attend. Registration will require your Name, email address, mobile phone number and University ID Number. You must attend all sessions and You are registering to attend all 5 sessions. 12.30pm-1.30pm on the following dates:
Wednesday 1 March: Circuit - ANU Gym Trainer
*Wednesday 8 March: Introduction to Mindfulness* - Carol Beynon ANU Counsellor
Wednesday 15 March: Beginner Boxing - ANU Gym Trainer
*Wednesday 22 March: Nutrition and Exercise* - ANU Health Service Nurse
Wednesday 29 March: Yoga or Stretching Session - ANU Gym Trainer
The exercise sessions will be held at ANU Sport and facilitated by the staff there. Meet at the ANU Sport reception
(6125 2273 / 6125 0805) Blg 19. Wear comfortable clothing, enclosed shoes, bring a towel and drink bottle. The Mindfulness intro and Nutrition and Exercise sessions will be run at ANUSA. (Upstairs Blg 17 Union Court)
Start the New Year with an exciting joint initiative between ANU Sport and the ANU Counselling Centre. The Healthy Body Healthy Mind Program will allow you to try different types of physical exercise, develop your knowledge of nutrition and an introduction to mindfulness. Research shows that the level of our physical activity can have a direct and very influential impact on our state of mind and how we handle our stresses. There is also strong evidence that practicing mindfulness improves both mental and physical health.
