Healthy Ageing Seminar | Advance Care Planning | Menai Library

Menai LibraryMenai, NSW
Monday, Mar 16, 2026 from 10:30 am to 12 pm AEDT
Overview

Join us at the library with Kai’Mia Community for a seminar on topics aimed at the aged members of our community and their carers.

Let’s chat about… Advance Care Planning.

Imagine you are suddenly unable to make decisions for yourself but there are critical decisions to be made.

None of us know what tomorrow will bring, or can predict what might become of our health and our ability to speak for ourselves.

But there is a way to ensure you have a say in health and lifestyle decisions that lie ahead, should there come a time when you are unable to speak for yourself.

It’s called advance care planning.

National Advance Care Planning week is 16 – 22 March 2026 and this year all Australians are invited to embrace the theme “Your Story, Your Choice”.

You are invited to attend and participate in a FREE relaxed, gentle and informal discussion regarding Advance Care Planning. Understand what it is, receive information to take home and have your questions answered

Hear from:

• Ariane Lazar – Grief and Bereavement Co-ordinator – SESLHD

• Rebecca Taylor – Palliative Care Project Officer - CESPHN

• Karen Buckley – Healthy Ageing Advisor Sutherland Shire

Please be aware of the following:

• Bookings are required (each person needs a ticket)

• Morning tea provided

“Let’s Chat About……….” Healthy Ageing Seminars have been made possible with funding from CESPHN - Central and Eastern Sydney Primary Health Network.
