Healthy Ageing, Healthy Moving - Education Session
Learn simple, practical ways to stay active, strong, and well as you age.
Royal Rehab LifeWorks invites members of Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club to a complimentary education session designed to help you stay active, independent, and doing the things you enjoy for longer. As we age, small changes in movement, strength, and nutrition can make a big difference to how we feel each day. This session focuses on simple, practical strategies to support your mobility, confidence, and overall wellbeing, without complicated exercises or strict diets.
Led by Physiotherapist Michael and Dietitian Rachel, this friendly and easy-to-follow session will share realistic strategies you can use every day to help you move with confidence, feel better in your body, and maintain your independence for longer.
You will learn:
- How simple daily movement can help you stay strong, steady on your feet, and confident doing everyday tasks
- What “healthspan” really means and how to stay independent and well for longer — not just live longer
- The difference between staying active and exercising, with realistic examples you can use right away
- Which types of exercise matter most as we age (strength, balance, and heart health) and how to do them safely
- What current exercise guidelines actually look like in real life — how much, how often, and what counts
- Straightforward nutrition tips to support muscles, bones, and energy without complicated diets
- A chance to ask your own questions and get clear, practical advice from the presenters
We hope to see you there!
