Join us at Ryde Library for the launch of our new monthly health information sessions - Health Help!

This FREE falls injury prevention session provides information on how to reduce the risk of falling and to maximise independence at home.

Falls Injury Prevention sessions are delivered in partnership with Health Promotion at Western Sydney Local Health District. During the session the speakers will cover the information below:

  • Facts about falls
  • Where, when and why people fall
  • Factors contributing falls
  • Osteoporosis versus falls
  • Strategies to prevent falls
  • Helpful resources.

The Health Promotion Service for Older People (HPSOP) from the Comined Pensioners and Superanuants Association (CPSA) is a community-based health education program which provides free health education sessions to seniors in NSW. Established in 1991, HPSOP is funded by NSW Health through the Western Sydney Local Health District.
