Do you know what the definition of mindfulness is?
Mindfulness is living in the now. It is essentially about being more aware and awake in every moment of your life. It is about intentionally paying attention to each moment, being fully engaged in whatever is happening around you and within you. It involves bringing an attitude of curiosity, acceptance and friendliness to whatever is experienced, rather than habitual patterns of judgement and criticism.
These Mindfulness Classes are intended to create a space for students to learn and practice mindfulness skills in a group environment using proven, evidence-based techniques designed to reduce stress, improve concentration, improve ability to manage emotions and cope with challenges throughout life.
Each week will have a different theme to introduce students to different mindfulness techniques.
