Local business owners will again pull their resources together for survivors of domestic violence, with a day of pampering

  • Saturday 25th May 2019

  • 11 am to 4 pm

  • Playford Uniting Church, Munno Para

Healing Through Love was formed in April 2018 by four Adelaide business women and held their inaugural Pamper Day Event in May at the SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre, Marion.

The goal of holding the Healing Through Love Pamper Day is to help as many survivors of domestic violence in our community as possible by increasing awareness and offering advice on services available to them and their family members and to raise much-needed funds for women’s shelters.

At last years' inaugural event; opened by Ms Paula Luethen MP Member for King and attended by Ms Caroline Power (nee Habib) Assistant Minister for Domestic and Family Violence Prevention; we attracted 25 professionals offering a range of healing modalities. We also had a Sharing Room where keynote speakers shared their stories & experiences. There were also music and dance performances. The event offered women the opportunity to enjoy many free services such as massages, facials, makeup, hair styling, and personal styling. There were various services represented on the day also that provided advice on legal and financial matters.

THIS YEAR - the event will be officially opened at 12:00 p.m. by Ms Carolyn Power MP Member for Elder and Assistant Minister for Domestic & Family Violence Prevention

Our keynote speaker will be Ms Vivian Pitman from SAPOL talking about the Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme in South Australia and what it means for survivors and perpetrators.

♥ Singer/songwriter Mary McCloud will perform from her latest album
