Description

Safety laws require all persons working with chemicals to be trained in identifying and controlling the risks of the
substances they use.
This course provides information and skills for workers that handle, store and manage chemical safety. Learn skills including; assessing the chemicals risks, knowing the storage requirements, and identifying appropriate controls.

Who Should Attend?
All personnel who work with, assess the risks and implement controls for chemicals.

Learning Outcomes
At completion of this workshop, participants will be able
to:
i. Know what legislation and guidance to use when assessing chemical risks;
ii. Be able to read and interpret an SDS;
iii. Accurately identify and assess risks from chemicals;
iv. Apply the hierarchy of control when reducing chemical risks;
v. Understand best practice handling and storage;
vi. Use provided tools and techniques to easily assess chemical risks.



CANCELLATION POLICY: If you are unable to attend training or event, a substitute person may attend in your place. Cancellations prior to 7 days before the event will receive a 50% refund or full credit to attend another course of same cost. No refund can be made for cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the workshop. Safety Action reserves the right to re-schedule the date of this event.
