Description

The recent NDIS Review highlighted that children with disability aren't always getting the support they need in everyday settings. It recommended changes to increase support available outside of the NDIS. These will be called Foundational Supports.

The government will soon develop a framework and policies to set up the Foundational Supports. While this is still in development, ACD wants families to have their say.

We're holding two online consultation sessions to hear from families about what's currently working, what's missing, and what's needed to better support children with disability.

We'd like to hear your thoughts on how allied health therapies could be delivered in partnership with early learning and school, what good peer support looks like for families raising children with disability, and how to help families gain the skills to best support their child.

Deidentified information from the consultation sessions will be used as part of ACD's advocacy to government to provide better support for children with disability.
