Join the Darebin, Hume, Merri-bek, and Whittlesea Interfaith Networks to explore the rich religious diversity of Melbourne’s North

Join the Darebin, Hume, Merri-bek, and Whittlesea Interfaith Networks to visit places of worship and learn about the different faith communities in Melbourne's North.

We will visit:

  • Kali Mata Mandir (Hindu)
  • Thomastown Mosque (Islam)
  • The Holy Monastery of Axion Estin (Greek Orthodox), with lunch provided (halal and vegetarian)
  • Quang Duc Monastery (Buddhist)

Please note: This tour is suitable for adults only.


Date & Time: Thursday 12 March, 9.15am to 4.30pm


A free shuttlebus will depart from (free all day parking available):

9.15am – The Holy Monastery of Axion Estin: 7 Hartington St, Northcote

9.30am – Kmart Campbellfield: 1434 Sydney Rd, Campbellfield

9.40am – Thomastown Library: 52 Main St, Thomastown

10.40am – Kali Mata Mandir, 7 Nova Court Craigieburn

The shuttlebus will return to:

3.30pm – The Holy Monastery of Axion Estin

3.30pm – Kmart Campbellfield

4 pm – Thomastown Library

4.30pm – Kali Mata Mandir


Respectful Practices:

  • You may have to remove your shoes or wear a headscarf (some shawls are available).
  • Modest attire required
  • No smoking on site
