About this event

Hands on Watercolour Painting: watercolour painting Masterclass with Iltja Ntjarra Many Hands Art Centre

This Masterclass, is a rare and coveted opportunity for members of the public to paint alongside the artists - learning, absorbing and practicing their approach. Join acclaimed artists from Iltja Ntjarra Art Centre, in a watercolour landscape Masterclass. Learn how to paint the beautiful desert sky, the MacDonnell Ranges, and the iconic white gumtrees. By the end of the masterclass you will have your own work on paper in watercolour.

Using the ‘Zoom’ video conferencing tool, painters will sit with participants and paint with them, talking and offering advice in a quiet, informal setting. This is an immersive workshop process, directive is often gentle, mostly the artists lead the class by letting participants observe them paint.

Participants will receive a sheet of watercolour paper, brushes and a set of watercolour paints. They will be encouraged to attempt their own landscape painting.

Once you have purchased your ticket, the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair Foundation will send your 'follow along supply kit', containing everything you will need to participate and create your own stunning landscape painting!

Please note, that many of our presenters and performers live in some of the most remote regions in Australia and don’t share the internet or mobile capability and speed that many enjoy in the city. Please be patient. DAAFF takes no responsibility for the internet capacity of our presenters or our participants.
