About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

For adults

This session will be held in the Demonstration Kitchen, Ruth Faulkner Library

As part of our 125 year festivities, we are celebrating our relationship with our Japanese sister city Adachi .

In this workshop, you will learn how to make delicious Japanese Mochi from scratch in simple and easy ways. Nami is also sharing her very original MOCHI-MALLOW recipes - they look similar to beautiful Gourmet Marshmallows but made with squishy Mochi dough!

You will enjoy tasting all the different flavours of MOCHI-MALLOW with a cup of Japanese tea. All the participants are required to bring the following items on the day - tea towel, a plate and a container to take MOCHI-MALLOW home if you don't eat everything during the workshop.

No experience is required, just bring your creativity and enthusiasm!

Please note:

  • Do not attend if unwell
  • If you cannot make it to the event, we strongly encourage you to cancel your ticket to ensure your spot is allocated to someone on our waitlist
