Don't miss out on the chance to transform your repair game like a true designer!

🕒 10:30 am – 11:15 am

Bring in 1–2 garments you'd like help repairing — tears, stretched areas, hems, fit issues, stains, or anything that needs attention.

What You’ll Learn

  • How to repair creatively and stylishly
  • Patch placement (subtle + bold)
  • Decorative darning
  • Reinforcing worn areas
  • Quick hand fixes
  • How to take in a garment (simple alteration theory)
  • How to decide the best repair method for each garment
  • “Design-thinking” for repair

Live Fitting Demonstration

We will do one live fitting during the session, showing how to:

  • Evaluate fit on the body
  • Pin adjustments
  • Plan a simple take-in
  • Mark alterations correctly

This is extremely valuable for beginners and sewists wanting to understand shaping, fit, and professional alteration thinking.

✉️ Optional Pre-Email

If you want personalised guidance, you’re welcome to email us your garment photos beforehand so we can prepare suggestions.

👕 What to Bring

Bring:

  • 1–2 garments you want to mend
  • Items with holes, frays, worn areas, loose hems, stretched spots
  • Jeans, tees, shirts, shorts, kids’ clothes — all fine

Hand sewing only — no experience needed.

📘 Included

  • A take-home printed sheet
  • Recommended tools list
  • A curated resource guide for garment repair + visible mending

Perfect for total beginners OR anyone wanting professional repair advice.

📘 Want More?

“Hack Your Repairs Like a Designer” is the first workshop of the day.
A second session, Mindful Mending, begins at 11:30 am.
