About this event
Our Gundy Medical Muster is a 3-day conference held biennially on the McIntyre river in the small rural town of Goondiwindi. It includes a welcome event on the Friday evening, conference program Saturday and Sunday and a show stopping dinner Saturday evening complete with dinner speaker and live entertainment.
We are expecting approximately 150 local and interstate delegates including GPs, Rural Generalists, Allied Health Professionals, Nurses, Trainees and Students.
The unique mix of education, relaxation and networking has made the Gundy Muster one of the biggest gatherings of health professionals west of the Great Divide!
Our theme this year is “Beginning with the end in mind”. We will be focusing on the first and last 2000 days, specifically how the preconception period and early years of life can shape the future risk of chronic disease and how to enjoy a healthier life while living longer as a super ager.
Our presenters include experienced rural doctors, nurses and allied health professionals, specialist pediatricians, obstetricians and cardiologists, and rural health researchers. Continuing in Muster tradition, we will be hearing directly from patients and their family members/care givers. We believe the only way to be sure we are providing the very best care to our patients, wherever they are, is to listen to and learn from their unique experiences.
The local community don't miss out, with public sessions run co-currently on Saturday for all interested .
We have amazing support from all of our Sponsors and couldn't host such a fabulous event without them!
The event is organised by the Goondiwindi Medical Centre with major support from Darling Downs and West Morton PHN.
