The magic of nature comes to life in this course where we grow and make food from our waste!

Learn about how many common kitchen foods and their waste can transform into more yummy food!

Robyn Brown, the instructor behind 'Waste is my Resource,' enlightens us on harnessing the power of natural processes to stimulate the regrowth of our food, almost like a magical phenomenon. Alongside that, she possesses a wealth of ingenious methods for repurposing our leftovers, as well as a profound understanding of seeds and sprouts that she eagerly imparts.

Here are some of the common vegetables (and herbs) that you can re-grow from scraps:

Potatoes

Sweet Potatoes

Onions, Garlic, Leeks and Shallots

Celery

Bulb Fennel

Carrots, Turnips, Parsnips, Beets and Other Root Crops

Lettuce, Bok Choi and Other Leafy Greens

Cabbages

Basil, Mint, Cilantro & Other Herbs

Feel free to bring the above food scraps to class to learn from an expert on how to regrow them!

Please bring along a recycled jar (if you can) and remember to bring your own reusable water bottle and keep cup to reduce waste!
