Overview

Get ready to learn all about digital marketing to help promote your community group

Grow the Impact & Effectiveness of Your Community Group

Are you part of a community group and wondering how to make it stronger, more sustainable, and easier to run?

This practical workshop is designed for volunteers, leaders, and members of community groups who want to grow their impact while avoiding burnout. Whether your group is newly formed or well established, you’ll gain clarity, confidence, and ideas you can take straight back to your group.

Together, we’ll explore:

  • Organising your group – finding the right balance between formality and informality, improving communication, running effective meetings, and making decisions that work
  • Do we incorporate? – understanding what incorporation means and whether it’s right for your group
  • Funding your group – grants, fundraising, sponsorships, and other income options
  • Recruiting and keeping members – attracting people and creating a group culture that keeps them engaged
  • Building partnerships – working with other groups, organisations, and local stakeholders

This session is interactive, down-to-earth, and grounded in real community experience. There will be space to ask questions, share challenges, and learn from others in the room.

Perfect for community groups, volunteer-led organisations, and anyone passionate about creating positive change together.

Delivered by Town Team Movement - a not for profit organisation that helps people in communities, businesses and governments to be positive changemakers.
