Grant writing workshop - Douglas Shire
Date and time
Improve your chances of securing a grant by attending our grant writing workshop
About this event
Grants are a great way to fund much-needed local infrastructure, events and other activities, and there’s a range of grants available for communities recovering from the 2019 North Queensland flood event and living through the ongoing drought.
A well written application can made a huge difference to your chances - and to your community - but applying can be daunting if you haven’t had much experience.
To help people make the most of grant opportunities – including the Australian Government-funded grants supporting the region’s ongoing recovery from the 2019 event - the National Drought and North Queensland Flood Response and Recovery Agency is working with councils to host grant writing workshops through North East and North West Queensland.
This free workshop will help you understand what’s needed in a grant application, how you can increase your chances of success, and some of the grants you might be eligible for. One-on-one support will also be available after the workshop so you can hone your skills.
Please note this event will be catered, please send through any dietary requirements to RROTownsville@pmc.gov.au.
