About this event

CHN, through the ACT PHN Program with sponsors Pfizer & MSD, invites you to attend the upcoming Oral Anti-Viral education evening dinner.

The presentation will be facilitated by a panel of healthcare providers caring for mild cases of COVID-19 patients in the community.

Introduction

An advantage of the COVID-19 treatment is that many patients (at risk of progressing to severe disease) will be able to receive treatment for COVID-19 in their own homes, preventing the need for hospitalisation.

Purpose & Goal

  • Familiarize GPs with prescribing for COVID19 in the community
  • Improve awareness of community COVID-19 treatment
  • Increase knowledge of the oral antivirals
  • Support confidence in prescribing oral antiviral

Learning Outcomes

  • To understand the options available for community COVID-19 treatment
  • To distinguish between the oral antiviral
  • To prescribe COVID-19 treatment in the community
