General Practice Gold Coast (GPGC) invites all local General Practitioners (GPs) to attend our GPGC networking evening and Annual General Meeting (AGM).

You must be an official GPGC Member to attend. If you have not recently re-registered for GPGC membership via our website, please register for membership at https://register.gpgc.com.au/gpgc-membership-application/ prior to registering for your event ticket.

GPGC is an independent membership organisation, set up to support local GPs and advocate to ensure that General Practice remains at the forefront of an effective and sustainable healthcare system.

GPGC acts to facilitate and support communication between GPs and local hospitals, specialists, health care institutions, universities, allied health professions and community groups. GPGC also acts to facilitate the advancement of local General Practice, especially in respect to supporting educational and networking opportunities that enhance the quality of care being delivered within General Practice.

  • Supporting GPs to advocate for improved community health outcomes
  • Promoting the wellbeing of GPs by providing collaborative spaces to connect with colleagues
  • Supporting and facilitating research within the GP community.
  • Advocacy for at risk groups and areas of need
  • Advocacy to reduce waste in health service delivery


Registrations are from 6:00pm with the AGM commencing at 6:30pm with formal proceedings expected to finish by 9:00pm.

The process for the AGM is to adopt and confirm the Minutes of the prior AGM. There will be an update from the Board on the organisation and the financial position. We also have a Motion to confirm the Auditors, and will welcome the Board for 2024-25. There is an opportunity for discussion from Members.

10% of Members are required to ensure we have a Quorum and can conduct business; so, if you are unable to attend please follow this link to complete your proxy vote:

If you wish to nominate as a Director of GPGC, the deadline is 23rd May. You can nominate by emailing admin@gpgc.com.au. Directors need to be Primary Members (GPs working at least 2 session per week in comprehensive clinical practice on the Gold Coast or Tweed).

You can also get in contact with one of the current or previous GPGC Directors to express your future interest.
