Peninsula and Southeast Oncology (PASO) is delighted to invite you to attend our upcoming GP education session. This education session will provide an opportunity for General Practitioners to gain an understanding of their role in supporting patients with breast cancer screening, diagnosis and care and incorporate systematic risk assessments into routine screening practices to identify individuals at higher risk, enabling personalized and targeted interventions. The session is also aimed at educating General Practitioners on advances in the assessment and management of breast cancer across various treatment modalities, so that General Practitioners may fulfil a diverse role in supporting patients through all phases of the cancer journey.
Learning Outcomes:
- Demonstrate an understanding of current breast cancer screening methods to identify individuals at higher risk.
- Interpret the results of risk assessment tools accurately, recognizing different risk categories and understanding the implications for patient management.
- Outline preliminary information to patients about current and modern surgical techniques in the diagnosis and management of breast cancer.
- Outline preliminary information to patients about current practices in Radiation Oncology in the management of breast cancer.
