About this event

We’re pleased to announce the AMA (WA) has successfully secured a Government Sector Wages Policy Consultation Session.

This session will be attended by senior advisors from the offices of the Premier, Deputy Premier/Treasurer, Minister for Health, and Minister for Industrial Relations, plus representatives from Government Sector Labour Relations (GSLR).

We're seeking significant attendance from WA doctors and medical students at this event so we can present a strong case for a fair wages policy that WA doctors deserve.

The Government Sector Wages Policy impacts salary decisions outside the public sector, therefore all WA doctors and medical students are encouraged to attend.

During the session, you will have the chance to ask questions and seek clarifications on several topics, including:

1. Wage Policy: Have your say on public sector wages policy and how it impacts you and your colleagues.

2. Budget Direction: Question the future direction of the State Budget and its implications for healthcare and related public sectors.

3. Consultation Process: Contribute your views and experiences to the wage policy consultation process.

4. Negotiations: Inquire about how your industrial agreement will be negotiated, including how claims are processed.
