Please note this will mainly be relating to Australian Government Reporting requirements.

Here are some of the topics we hope to cover during our discussion:

  • Transforming the Collection of Student Information (TCSI) – An update will be provided by Maureen Wood and other DESE representatives, as well as representatives from The Department of Human Services. This will be a very interactive session with plenty of opportunities for attendees to ask questions.
  • Transition in relation to moving from HEPCAT to TCSI reporting.
  • PRODA
  • The new short courses now being offered by institutions and how they are going to be administered from a reporting perspective.
  • The impact of the new funding model (announced 19 June 2020) on reporting.

To advance insitutional effectiveness in tertiary education

AAIR is the professional association for institutional research practitioners in the tertiary education space in Australasia, and aims to raise the level of professional competence and practice in the fields of institutional research, planning and analysis.

'Institutional research' is viewed as a range of activities involving the collection, analysis and interpretation of information descriptive of an institution and its activities, including its students and staff, programs, management and operations, which in turn assists institutional leaders by informing their planning, decision making and policy formulation with the management of tertiary education, which leads to the improved understanding, planning and operation of these institutions.
