Good Vibrations Fun Run for Parkinson's 2026
Run, walk or skip - Join us to raise awareness and help find a cure for Parkinson's Disease with 38 Australian's diagnosed everyday.
On Saturday 11 April 2026, we’ll be hosting the Good Vibrations Fun Run for Parkinson’s, a 5km coastal fun run and walk in Newcastle raising funds for Shake It Up Foundation Australia and their work to find better treatments and a cure for Parkinson’s disease.
We will kick things off at Southy Canteen on Shortland Esplanade, following a scenic coastal loop and welcoming runners and walkers of all abilities.
One of the most unacknowledged challenges for people living with Parkinson’s is the unpredictable nature of the disease and the need for constantly adapting treatment plans. Exercise is one of the most powerful tools available to help manage Parkinson’s, but it can also be one of the most confronting.
Good Vibrations aims to inspire, engage and recognise those living with Parkinson’s disease and their support networks, while bringing the wider community together through movement and connection. We would love for you to join us.
Following the fun run and walk, we’ll be coming together to celebrate and connect.
If you’re unable to participate on the day, you’re still very welcome to join us afterward or support the cause through a donation. Link below.
Registrations will open from 9:00am, with a 10:00am start.
Donations can be made on the day or by following the link below:

Rain, hail or shine the walk will continue. *Refunds will not be provided regardless of weather
