Area of Interest: Education - Leading for Educational Change

There is growing inequality in Australian education. Our individual and collective learning, sharing, agency and voice can improve access to high-quality education for all students, wherever they may go to school. This workshop will generate deep discussion with school leaders about research-based practice in schools and systems. School leaders will have the opportunity to reflect on their school-based practice and leadership and explore possibilities for meaningful change.

This course is designed to be attended with a team of leaders in your school (classroom teachers, executive teams and principals).

The day includes the following sessions:

-Learning from Global Leaders and Systems:
-Principles of successful education systems and policy around the world.
-Leading Change in Classrooms:
-Teacher practices, authentic models of success from school leaders, and the research-base on effective
 approaches to learning.
-Leading for Equity:-Changing practice through collaboration and networks within and beyond your school.

This course is accredited by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) for 6 hours of professional learning at Lead Teacher level. Standards addressed: 1.3, 2.3, 3.1, 4.1
