Advancing the role of women in IT: Girls teaching girls coding
ECU Perth Girls’ Programming Network is hosting free, hands-on programming workshops for girls in year 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12. Girls will be introduced to a range of coding activities using Python programming language. No coding experience is necessary! Events are run four times a year by local women studying or working in the IT industry, academia, and government.
So whether you’re a coding guru or just a beginner, come along to one of our workshops and give programming a go!
What you need to do to get involved.
- Register your interest by completing an Eventbrite registration. We have 35 spaces and once these have been filled, registrations will close.
- Tell us about your specific dietary requirements (if any) as morning tea and lunch will be provided.
- Please ask your parents to complete the Photograph Release Form prior to attending the day, as we would like to put a few pictures from the workshop up on our website. To do this, we need your parents to sign the consent form. It's fine if you don't want pictures taken, just let us know on the day!
- We will send you a confirmation email to say that you have been accepted into the program closer to the date.
Note: Parking area 14 – Visitors parking and drop off area, Lakeside Drive entrance.
