Lucy Bain - Learn with Exercism
This session will introduce you to Exercism, a platform to practice coding, give and get feedback, and find the devil in the details. After discussing why Exercism is a great way to learn, we'll jump into tutorial mode and see how to submit exercises through the platform. Finally, we'll do some live coding and submit a real exercise as a group. Bring your programming hats - you'll be shouting out some code!
Hannah Thompson - Hannah gets Go-ing
I set out to learn Go and challenged myself to control an Arduino using Gobot, an IoT framework for Go. This talk tells the story of what I learnt and experienced along the way.
Houda Chehab - Growth at Atlassian
In just under two years, the growth team at Atlassian has transformed from a 12 person team based in Sydney, into a department of 40 staff, split across multiple teams over 3 international offices. So what exactly is growth and why has it become an integral part of the way Atlassian works?
Note: Please try to arrive on time as the lifts need swipe access to get to Level 6. There will be someone to swipe people up, but they can’t stay downstairs forever!
If you arrive early, you may need to wait in Atlassian's reception area until our door-person arrives, as they need to mark your name off our Guest List.
Our pizzas are full of gluten and cheese, so if you have any food intolerances, you're best off bringing a snack! There will be vegetarian options.
