World-renowned artists Gillie and Marc auction-off their lives’ work to save rhinos. They're giving guests over $500 worth of free art just for taking part!
There are only 3 Northern White Rhino’s left on planet earth, and their horns are worth more than gold, ivory, diamonds, or cocaine. We’ve poached these marvellous creatures to extinction, and most people don’t even know about it…
But there’s still hope, and it comes in the form of Gillie and Marc’s Art with Heart Auction!
Artists Gillie and Marc refuse to see the the last 3 Northern White Rhinos go in vain, and have dedicated their lives to creating the biggest awareness campaign in history, and stopping the misled demand for rhino horns (which are made from the same material as human fingernails).
The artists will be selling over 1000 square meters of artworks they’ve been lovingly creating over the past 20-years in the most incredible art auction the world has ever seen!
Gillie and Marc need to auction off each piece of art they’ve ever made in order to finish the BIGGEST rhino sculpture in history, and educate the public about rhino conservation. The artists want to let everything in the gallery go to support the cause, which means their artworks
(that are usually fetched for high-prices around the world) are going to be sold for the most unbelievable deals!
When? Where? Why?
The Art with Heart Auction will be held on Sunday, November 5th at the artists newly expanded Alexandria Gallery, 16/77 Bourke Rd.
The day will be filled with tons of family-friendly entertainment, including wildlife education opportunities, a colouring table for kids, Australia’s favourite food trucks, extraordinary goodie bags, and a petting zoo! Anyone is welcome, including pets!
Proceeds from the auction will go towards creating and installing the immense artwork of the Northern White Rhinos - titled The Last Three - by Gillie and Marc. The sculpture, which is the first step in a major global campaign being undertaken by the artists, will be launched in the heart of Manhattan, NYC in January, 2018.
Among other wonderful organizations getting involved to save rhinos, the project has been sponsored by Nat Geo Wild and Inde. To learn more about the awareness campaign, visit www.goodbyerhinos.org
